TOURISM: 'FOUR MEDIEVAL DAYS' IN CASPERIA
25 giugno, 13:24 (ANSA) - ROMA, 25 GIU - A feast day in honour of San Giovanni
Battista with shows and medieval play: this will take place from
Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 June in Casperia, in the province of
Rieti.
Food stands will line the maze of narrow streets and steps of
the medieval village, and there will be several processions and
historic performances organised by local folklore groups. In the
evening people can visit the church, the towers, communication
trenches, ravelins and casemates which have given the town the
orange flag of the TCI (Italian Touring Club) for the
conservation of its medieval centre.
The festival of 'Castrum Asprae' will be closed by a procession in honour of San Giovanni Battista through the town's streets.(ANSA).
